The primary objective of the workshop was to strengthen the collaboration between Brazilian and European partners in the interpretation of the results of the campaign and the writing of common publications. It focused on meso-scale aspects in the troposphere and the TTL combining small balloons, aircraft and ground-based (radar, sondes, lidar, lightning,..) observations and meso-scale modelling of transport, microphysics and chemistry of convective systems, 3D air mass trajectories etc.. Stratospheric and global aspects will be treated later during a further workshop in Europe.

The workshop took place at the IPMet in Bauru on 16-18 November, 2004.
